The Little Brewing Company makes Wicked Elf line of beer and it was the second brewery we visited in Port Macquarie. We were amazed that Port Macquarie not only has one microbrewery, but two, given that Port Mac’s population is only 46,000 people. Little Brewing Company is located about 1 mile from Black Duck Brewery in the industrial area.
We arrived at 2:45 p.m. and only had about 15 minutes before the brewery closed. We only could try one beer on tap because they were having issues with their keg dispensing system after they finished cleaning it. To make up for this lack of beer, the bartender went to the back of the brewery, returning with a warm bottled lager beer. The beer wasn’t bad considering it was waa … aay warmer than room temperature. The person helping us was very nice and very apologetic for the issues they were having with the keg system.
BTW, how does a micro close at 3:00 p.m. on a Thursday afternoon!?!
